Agloco members may well remember when Agloco started: almost one year ago. After one year where is Agloco? Agloco is definitely not a “get quick rich scheme”, we already know it but after so much time Agloco members and co-founders should at least know where the Agloco program stands. Agloco started with the nice idea to put a little software on your desktop called Viewbar where you can see some targeted ads. The idea was to have you using the Viewbar to try new software, looking at trailers and so on.
What’s the situation today? So called advertiser already run away! Agloco stated they have 17 advertiser networks on post 56 that reads:

As a member of the revenue team, I am happy to report that we now have agreements with 17 ad networks. These agreements plus some direct advertising deals provide AGLOCO with thousands of advertisers with thousands of ads for the Viewbar software.

It was april 3, 2007! Quiet a few months ago. Asked recently where on earth did all this 17 network go, Agloco answered in a very strange way on october 12, 2007:

Prior to the first download of the Viewbar we had an agreement with a third party to supply AGLOCO from 17 ad networks. While working with the tech team to implement this system it became apparent that the third party would not be able to deliver on their promise.

The Agloco tech team did already show how incompetent they are with the development of a simple Viewbar so we can be assured it is by no means fault of “a third party”. The Viewbar never worked well! Still no Win98 compatibility, still no Ads rotating, still log-in problems! And they called “third party” not able to deliver on their promise?
There was some ads after the launch of the Viewbar in june. Agloco got money for all that ads displayed on the members Viewbar. Where went that money? Agloco official said:

Where did the $100,000 go in June, July and August? During those June, July and August AGLOCO’s biggest monthly costs were $15,000 to $20,000 in monthly server, bandwidth etc. costs – $15,000 to $25,000 a month for the tech team in Shanghai – and $2,000 a month for the Member Service team in the Philippines (Plus about $1,000 a month in other costs.)

Many of us know to host a domain on dedicated servers, $15,000 to $20,000 in monthly server, bandwidth etc. costs is a lot of money! You can get dedicated server host foe few hundred of dollar a month easily! With quiet a lot of bandwidth too. Reading the official agloco blog we know for sure the bandwidth was never enough and the site went down quiet a lot of times. The site was very slow most of the june-july period! All the money they paid to their hosting service was by no means justify. If we observe how the Viewbar software is even located on other servers then thousands of $ seems to me a simple lie.

Simple PPC (Paid Per Click) or minor sites are paying their members soon after launching of their service! Agloco can’t afford to do the same even after nearly one year! The suspect expressed by several members is Agloco is buying time over time. They try to get the money they can and don’t even bother to communicate with their own members. They stated several times how members are co-owners of Agloco! They don’t communicate with co-owners!!! Just take a simple look at Agloco official blog (the only way to communicate with Agloco, emails just get automated reply).

We are not sure if Agloco is really a scam even if Agloco proved it quiet a few times but we believe nobody should lost time signing up with Agloco anymore. Members should stop recruiting because referrals will not use the Viewbar just to do searches. Launching a software on your screen should do much more as simple searches. Stats show only new members actually use the viewbar. Other members already stopped to use it. You can still accumulate your own hours but don’t expect your referrals will do the same. There is no good reason to use at this moment the Viewbar. Nobody knows yet if they will get payed or not.
Even if the Agloco idea seems to be not that bad, the Agloco management managed to do things in the worst way possible. We believe the only way for Agloco to survive will be selling the company, or what it should be, to a competent Internet business that will overtake all the management and development issues. Agloco staff should then be fired, the Shanghai team dissolved and fired as well (they get about $20,000/month!), Agloco development kicked off and things should finally get much better.
Developing a new Viewbar with a quality logo, updating an obsolete homepage, give it’s members some important tools (communication with referrals), offer a much longer cookie session for new sign-ups and so on…. but this is utopia, the guys at Agloco have to fail miserably before they will give up… it was so with AllAdvantage (the same guys) and it will be with AllAdvantage 2, the Agloco project.

We just ask our Standford students one thing: DON’T EVEN TRY TO FOOL ANYMORE WITH A THIRD ALLADVANTAGE! I guess there will be many people out there still willing to be fooled!
