Got it… Agloco Hibernation

As a Agloco member you got it, a email from AGLOCO.com Service! Thanks Agloco for the update! We guessed what was going on… the ask.com deal didn’t that much as I guessed back in October on the Agloco official blog. Agloco’s Team fault was to abandon its members who left Agloco and its Viewbar. Better communication would have led to much better revenue as members would be much more active in using the Viewbar and recruiting new affiliates. With over one million of members Agloco didn’t manage to get enough revenue to sustain it’s own costs!?!? That’s quiet strange for me! They set up Agloco to get their own salary (see the Shanghai Team and how much they got pro month from Agloco, or see how much and who Agloco paid the server). There was already revenue and it went to Agloco… over one million members, 250.000 active members who earned millions of Agloco Hours… Members who did the work of creating a network, for FREE! I only hope Agloco Team will NOT sell Agloco and retain the money for itself! Agloco is a 100% member owned company, right?
A new Start for Agloco with a new Management and with Brian & co. fired ASAP should help to get things rolling.
Here how their email look like:

Dear [my name],We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1@live.com

We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

AGLOCO Development Team

So maybe there will be no changes for the next few months at least. Let’s see if some serious company will take Agloco and restart with it. What is sure for now, actual members will NOT get any money for the accumulated hours. As long as I have nothing to do anymore with the people behind the Agloco Development team it’s just O.K. :-)
